The purpose of the Permissions module is to indicate what users have access to in the platform.

1. Click on Configuration then Permissions

2. Click on Create a permission group or Edit to make a modification to an existing permission group

3. Then insert the relevant informations on the right side of your screen.

  • The English and French permission names are required.

  • The Import code will be used to import user profiles (optional).

  • Limit to report to will limit a user's access to requests and users from his projects/teams.

  • You can Restrict to punch terminal a user.

  • If you check the Default Permission box, every new user you create will automatically have this permission.

  • You can Enable chat for users with this permission.

4. Indicate the permissions that these users will have access to

In the right window, you will find all the modules of the platform. To see the possible actions in each of the modules, click on their name, a drop-down list will appear.

Then check the actions that users in this permission group will be able to take.

For example, using the image above as a reference, they can :

See, Create and Update departments, but would not be able to Delete, Assign or Unassign them.

5. Once you have checked the appropriate options, click Submit

If you want to create a new Permission Group, click on the down arrow and then on Submit and create another.

6. Assign permissions to employees

Go to the Manager > Users module. Find the users to whom you want to give this new permission, and then click Edit to the right of their names. In the Hiring Information section, enter the desired permission in the Permissions option text field. You may want to add more than one if you wish.
