In the event that your employees have expiring certificates, Merinio offers the ability to create reminder sequences to alert employees and work upstream the necessary renewals/actions.

For example:

  • First message 6 months before

  • Second reminder 1 month before

  • Last message 24 hours before + explanation of consequences

To ensure constant follow-up, you can centralize reminder messages at an e-mail address of your choice, or even draw up an expiring attributes report which will help you make decisions.

It helps you to:

  • Track certificate expirations as a manager

  • Reduce the number of non-renewed certificates

  • Reduce certificate renewal times

  • Improve employee follow-up/reminder process

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Go to Admin, then Employees and click on Attributes

2. Click on Create an attribute

3. Activate the Has an expiration date option and click on the "+" to create one or more Reminders

4. Setting Reminders

  • Set a Reminder time delay in days (example: 180 days, i.e. 6 months)

  • Add a custom message in French and English for reminder emails and SMS messages

  • Ensure that the employee is aware of the reminder by clicking on Acknowledgement requirement

  • Send a copy to the company email address to track reminders

  • Click on the "+" to add a new reminder

We also recommend you to use the Expiring attributes report. It will provide you with an overview of the current situation, to help you make decisions and decide what steps to take.

Here's an article that will teach you how to create a report 😉 :
