User geolocation is useful for seeing where they've punched in and out.
It is only available to employees who punch in on their cell phone 🤳 !
In order to activate the geolocation on your platform, please contact your account manager, or the support chat.
Once activated, here are the steps to follow:
iOS:
1. Open the Merinio app and punch your shift
2. When confirming the punch, the application will ask you the first time to activate your location.
3. Make a choice between those two options:
Allow once
Allow when app is active
4. Go to iPhone settings and navigate to Privacy and security
5. Click on Location Services and look for the Merinio app
Make sure that the parameter: Exact position is active.
Android:
1. Go to Phone Settings
2. Navigate down and look for Position
3. Select Authorization for the app:
4. Search the application Merinio
5. Make your selection :
Allow only if app is in use
Always ask
6. Make sure that the setting Use exact position is enabled
Once user geolocation has been activated, you can see at which coordinates the user has made his punch.
Go to Punch cards menu and then check under View for Arrival and Departure coordinates.
