In this article you will find:

NEW WAY TO SEE EMPLOYEES' SCHEDULE

In order to have a quicker access to the detailed schedule of your employees, we have added a shortcut that allows you to navigate through the weeks and see the punching details of your users. You will find the start time, end time and breaks punched for each shift, any transfers and their total number of hours worked in the week.

In the Schedule, right-click on a shift assigned to an employee whose schedule you want to see, then click on Open User Schedule.

A SHIFT CAN BE FILLED BY A BRANCH OF YOUR COMPANY THAT DOES NOT USE MERINIO

It is possible that one of your subsidiaries, a subcontractor or an external business unit that does not use Merinio may have to fill a shift for your company. In order to have this shift and the related information documented in the software, you can activate the option Covered by another unit when creating a shift in the Schedule module.

UNPAID BREAKS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE "SUMMARY" ROW

We know that having the most accurate view of hours worked is a priority! Now, unpaid breaks are removed from the total hours worked in the schedule.

In order to see the row counting the hours worked, click on the View drop-down menu and then on the View Summary Row option.

ABILITY TO CREATE PREMIUM WAGES WHEN CREATING A SHIFT

When creating a shift, you realize that you have not yet created a premium wage? No problem, create one directly in the shift creation page.

Simply click on the Add a premium button and then click on the "Manage premium wages here" link, you will then be redirected to the Wage premium management page, all you have to do is click on Create a wage premium.

ADDITION OF DETAILS SUCH AS POSITION, REGION AND PROJECT

We have added more details in the My Shift Offers section in the employee portal so that users can accept a shift knowing all its requirements. Below, for example, we see that the shift is at the Entrance position in Quebec City and that it belongs to the project [3].

ADDITION OF A BUTTON TO READ THE MESSAGES RELATED TO THE REQUEST

We wanted to speed up the reading of comments related to absence requests, so now you just have to click on the button with the conversation bubble icon to view them.

Note 🗒: The number in red next to the icon represents the number of messages related to this request.

ADDITION OF SENIORITY DATES FOR POSITIONS AND OCCUPATIONS

In order to make the schedules more like your reality, you can now add a seniority date to a position or occupation. When you create a list of contacts to fill a shift, the employee with the most seniority in the position for which the shift is taking place will then be at the top of the list.

To add a seniority date to a position or an occupation, modify the profile of your existing employees in the Users module or add it when you create a new employee profile.

EMPLOYEES CAN SEE THE DETAILS OF THEIR HOURS WORKED AND PAID

As with the #1 new feature of this update, employees can also see the details of their time cards and the number of hours worked in a week. This provides full transparency and builds trust between managers and employees.

Warning ⚠︎: In order for employees to see this information, a time card must have been created for each shift! Go to the Time Cards module and make sure all shifts have a corresponding time card.

NEW REPORT TO SEE THE NUMBER OF TIMES AN EMPLOYEE HAS ACCEPTED/REFUSED TO FILL A SHIFT

If you regularly use contact lists, this report is a must! You will be able to see how many shifts each employee has accepted and refused in a specific period.

To do this, go to the Reports module, choose the Contact lists acceptance/refusal report and then enter the desired time period using the calendar at the top left. Finally, click Submit to view this list and then Export (CSV) if you need the Excel table for this report.

Based on this data, this will allow you to adjust your contact lists in the future and understand when and why users are turning down shifts.

OPTIMIZED FORMS FOR CREATING ATTENDANCE REQUESTS, PROJECTS AND USERS

We constantly want to make your experience with Merinio more enjoyable, so we've made the absence, project, and user creation forms less time-consuming by putting the fields in two columns. You'll have a more streamlined view of the platform, which will help you be more efficient in your daily operations.
