โ ๏ธ Be careful, in Merinio, a time off is a planned request, unlike absence requests which are spontaneous.
The employee must log on to the platform and create a leave request
Merinio saves the information for you and alerts you to potential schedule conflicts
You will receive an instant email notification when the employee's application is created.
Then go to Merinio or click on the shortcut button at the bottom of the email
1. Click on Time off
2. Find the request(s) you are interested in using the filters
You can filter by employee name or type, date or type of time off. To see all available filters, click on the ? to the right of the filter field next to the diskette.
3. Approve or Refuse applications
To approve, click on the white Approve button to the right of the application, it will turn green. Approving the request will email the employee if the employee has activated his email notifications.
There are several request statuses to help you keep accurate information in the employee file. Meaning of statuses :
Approved: The employee's time off request is granted
Refused: Application was not accepted
Cancelled: The employee has informed you that they actually do not wish to take any time off work
Display schedule conflicts: Allows you to see if the requested leave does not disrupt the schedule. If there is indeed a conflict, this message will be displayed below the request :
If the time off is refused, you can always approve it later by clicking on the right arrow and selecting Approved, the button will change from red to green.
